At De Brennerhoeve, we take good care of any personal data you share with us. This policy explains what information we may process when you get in touch, why we process it, and what rights you have.
1. Who's responsible for your data?
De Brennerhoeve, based at 't Langenbarg 3 in Ruurlo, the Netherlands, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions, you can reach us at info@brennerhoeve.com.
2. What information do we collect?
This website has no contact form, no login system, and no user accounts, and there's no database storing visitor information. We don't automatically collect data through the site itself.
When you reach out to us directly, by email or phone, we may process:
- your name;
- your email address and/or phone number;
- the content of your message or our conversation, for example details about a wedding date, an event, a photoshoot, or a question about the horses.
You choose what to share with us.
3. What do we use it for?
We use this information to:
- respond to your question or request;
- discuss a potential wedding, event, photoshoot, or horse-related enquiry with you;
- prepare and carry out any arrangements that follow from that conversation.
4. Our legal basis
We process your data based on:
- your consent, given by voluntarily contacting us (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR);
- our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries we receive (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR);
- where applicable, the performance of a contract, for example once a wedding, event, or photoshoot is actually booked (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
5. How long we keep your data
We don't keep your personal data for longer than is necessary for the purpose it was collected for.
6. Sharing your data
We never sell your data. Where necessary, personal data may be processed or shared with service providers we work with, for example for hosting, email, administration, or carrying out a booking or request. Where the GDPR requires it, we put appropriate agreements in place with these providers.
De Brennerhoeve currently doesn't use Google Analytics, advertising trackers, or similar third-party services.
7. Cookies
This website doesn't use cookies for tracking, analytics, or marketing purposes, so no cookie banner is needed.
8. How we keep your data secure
This website is entirely static: there's no database storing visitor information, and it's only ever served over a secure HTTPS connection. Any details you share with us by email or phone are handled carefully and aren't shared unnecessarily.
9. Your rights
You have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected or completed;
- have it deleted;
- object to the processing of your data;
- request that processing be restricted;
- request data portability, where applicable.

11. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we handle your personal data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if our website or our way of working changes. The most current version is always available on this page.
